Sherwin High Performance Asphalt Cold Patch is a ready to use asphalt cold mix material. It has all the advantages of the best hot mix, without the costly labor and equipment needs. It is a permanent fix for potholes, in parking lots, highways, roadways, railroad crossings, bridge decks, and airport runways and taxiways. It can be used on both asphalt and concrete pavements.
Our Asphalt Cold Patch is mixed with a fine 1/4" limestone (clean) chip. The special liquid asphalt is added and mixed. Can be stored for 2 years without harming the product. It is easy to apply. Simply remove standing water and loose material. Shovel the High Performance Patch material into the pothole, level, and compact with a tamper, roller, or vehicle tire. Just that simple. The material will compact about 20%. Always fill over the pothole, and then compact material level with the existing pavement. The more compaction from traffic, the better the patch. In very hot conditions, you can spread some lime dust, cement powder, or sand on top of the patch to prevent tracking and bleeding. It also helps to set the patch up faster.
*It has a workability range of -15 degrees Farenheit to +100 degrees Farenheit.
